September 2017 Favorites
This is my first monthly favorites on my blog. I just have a few favorites to share and they’re all things that I’ve been using daily.
I’ve been doing more activities that require me to stand and walk more. I would typically go for my Converse or Adidas but if I’m in those all day, I’m usually pretty sore. These are my first Flyknits and I’m absolutely obsessed! I love that the fabric is super thin and wraps around my feet. They wrap around my feet and it just makes having it on all day super comfortable!
The only little trouble I had was to find just the right socks that didn’t show through the top but that also didn’t slip off in my shoe. I found the perfect ones at Target!
This is been my favorite lip balm to bring around in my bag. Not only is it a great lip moisturizer, but you can use it for different purposes like dry cuticle and rashes too! It’s been saving me a lot with LA’s weather change. If you would like to see my full review on Glossier products, check out my last blog post!
This custom Colourpop palette has been my go-to for the past couple months. Having this has made me realize how many eyeshadows from my other palettes that go to waste. I have some high-end palettes that are beautiful but they contain too many colors that I would never use. It just makes so much sense to make a custom palette because you’ll be adding colors that you would actually use. I use this everyday and all the colors are put to use.
Colourpop pressed eyeshadows are amazing quality and super inexpensive. They range from about $4-5 and they hold a lot of sales that a make it that much more affordable! The eyeshadows are also sold in palettes that can easily be depotted. I’ve chosen my favorite eyeshadows and made my perfect palette! I won’t bother listing all the colors now but if you’re interested in a full Colourpop review please let me know!
The Ordinary Serums
This brand called The Ordinary is super known for it’s unique marketing and price point. I’ve been really interested in incorporating come oils into my skincare routine for its natural nourishing purposes. I’ve been using these oils every night for about a month now and my skin has never looked better.
Rosehip oil contains vitamin A and helps with anti-aging.
Argan oil is rich in vitamin E, which helps give the perfect moisture to my skin. This oil can be used for my hair too! I apply a few drops to the ends of my hair for instant nourishment.
I recently bought these two serums, 100% Rosehip Oil and 100% argan oil. These are actually two ingredients that I’ve been wanting to incorporate into my skincare routine because of its hydrating purposes.
I apply 2-3 drops of each serum into my hand and press it into my skin. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know how to feel about it at first because it felt… well, oily. But because I typically apply my heavier skincare at night, I got used to it quickly. I wake up feeling with my skin feeling extra supple and hydrated. I also notice that my breakouts don’t last that long. The combination of my spot treatment and these oils has helped my skin heal quickly.
I’m planning to share my full skincare routine soon so stay tuned for that! Hope you guys like this quick monthly favorites. Make sure to check out my favorites video on my Youtube channel!
